Mission
CDM (Chinese Diaspora Mission) seeks to help Chinese churches to mobilize, equip, and send out missionaries who will make disciples among diaspora Chinese and beyond.
|
CDM will challenge Chinese churches in regard to mission, and help them take steps to become a mission church and to recruit their people for mission.
The sending out will primarily be the responsibility of the local church, in cooperation with CDM. Those who are sent out will first be approved, both by the church (Acts 13 model), and then by CDM. It will also include the necessary support of prayer, finance and other support as may be needed by the missionary.
The primary focus of CDM will be to the Chinese, wherever they may be living abroad.
|
CDM will, in partnership with local churches, prepare workers for missionary ministry.
Making disciples is the essence of the Great Commission. It involves "go(ing)", "baptizing", and "teaching all that Jesus commanded". These three participles support the imperative to: "make disciples"; they indicate the steps in the disciple-making process.
CDM's focus on discipling diaspora Chinese also includes the discipling of the people among whom they live.
